Upon successful completion print your certificate. The certificate is valid for 3 years. New York State law does not mandate alcohol training for seller and servers, but many local jurisdictions and employers require an employee who sells or serves alcohol to complete an approved responsible alcohol training course and obtain the certificate. ATAP training is considered to be a mitigating factor in the case of any lawsuit liabilities and can possibly offer a limited affirmative defense to reduce charges or lessen sentences in the case of an alcohol law violation.
