State Regulations
The state of Massachusetts has led the way across the US when it comes to mandatory Food Safety Training for Managers in the foodservice industry.
From 2018 it has been mandatory for staff to be Manager trained along with having a separate certification focusing on Allergen Awareness.
However, the Food Handler component is not mandatory across the state, but it is highly recommended.
